…In Their Affliction

Today was Orphan Sunday, and at Remedy we talked about how our call to care for orphans is a call to get into their affliction with them (James 1.27). These are two stories from The Austin Stone of what that looks like.

There are multiple stories just like this in our church. We saw the faces of several of them when we prayed for our adoptive and foster families this morning. Our ongoing prayer is that God will continue to burden our hearts and equip us to care for these children, whatever the cost.
