We’re used to Easter being the biggest Sunday on our calendar. We look forward to gathering with our church family to celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead and defeated sin and death once and for all time! And while we grieve that we won’t be physically together this year, we’ve decided to remember and celebrate together throughout the entire week (read more about that here).

Pondering the Death of Jesus

Today we are shifting gears from our devotionals in Mark to look a little deeper at the theology and implications of Jesus’ death. This one is around 20 minutes long, and we would encourage you to set aside some time to open your Bible, listen to the Lord through these Scriptures,  and worship together as a family and with the Remedy family, even though we’re scattered.

Isaiah 53:5–6

But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
